Create Multiple Action Plans by Location

Generating separate action plans individually for large multi-unit projects is time-consuming and prone to errors. The bulk creation workflow allows you to generate multiple action plans from a single template simultaneously, automatically linking each plan to its assigned project location. This ensures consistent process management and maintains traceability across all locations.

  • Bulk Volume Limit: Select up to 1,000 locations per bulk creation job. An inline error message appears if you exceed this limit.

  • Automatic Naming Format: Review generated plan names, which follow the format [Template Title] – [Location]. Procore appends an incremental numerical suffix (e.g., "(1)") if a duplicate name exists.

  • Sequential Numbering: Note that new action plans follow the project's existing numbering sequence to preserve traceability.

  • Template Status Constraints: Select only templates in a ready-to-use status; templates in 'Edit' or 'In Revision' mode are unavailable.

  • Background Server Processing: Close your browser or navigate away safely after starting the process, as the job continues running on the server.

• Access: Verify availability of a project-level action plan template.

• Preparation: Ensure required multi-tiered locations exist in the project.

1. Navigate to the project's Action Plans tool.

2. Click Create.

3. Click Create Multiple Plans.

4. Select a template from the Template drop-down menu.

5. Select the Locations toggle and click the Locations field.

6. Select one or more locations from the list.

7. Review the total number of action plans scheduled for creation.

8. Click Create.
   Note: Procore generates the action plans and sends an email notification upon job completion.
