Manage Comments and Activity in Coordination Issues
Communicate directly within coordination issues to resolve conflicts faster. Using the Procore web application or the Procore BIM Plugin, you can contribute to the discussion by adding comments and image attachments. You maintain full ownership of your contributions, with the ability to edit or delete your own comments and attachments as needed.
Things to Consider
Additional Information:
Mention Users: Use the @ symbol to mention other Procore users and send them an email for your comment. See Mention Users in a Coordination Issue Comment.
Navigate Snapshots: If a snapshot was added from the Procore BIM Plugin, clicking it navigates you within the model.
Paste Images: Paste images directly from your clipboard into the comment box.
File Attachments: Supported image attachments include BMP, GIF, JPEG, and PNG.
Navisworks Freedom® Limitation: Comments in Procore require the Procore BIM Plugin to function. Because Freedom® is a lightweight viewer designed for offline viewing, it does not support plugins. The Procore Activity feed will not visible in .NWD files when viewing models in Freedom®.
Prerequisites
Download and install the BIM Plugin on your Windows® computer. See Download & Install.
Associate the Navisworks® model with your Procore project. See Associate a Navisworks® Model with a Procore Project.
Steps
Open the Coordination Issues tool from your preferred platform:
From Procore Web: Navigate to the Coordination Issues tool.
From the Procore BIM Plugin: Click the Procore tab in Navisworks® or Revit®. In the Coordination Issues ribbon, click Coordination Issues.
Find the coordination issue to work with in the table. Next, click the Comment
icon to view the selected issue's Activity feed. Choose from any combination of the following actions:
Add a comment: Type a message or @mention someone in the text box and click Submit.
Attach an image: Click Attach Image to upload a file, then click Submit. To remove your image, click X on the attachment pill to remove your file, and then click Update.
Edit a comment: Click the vertical ellipsis
and select Edit. Update your previous message and click Update. To delete your previous comment, click the vertical ellipsis
and select Delete.
