Create Safety Violation Entries

Background

The Safety Violations section lets you track any hazardous actions or events that have violated the safety of those on site. You can record a violation or notice, including details such as a picture, time, and date.

Things to Consider

  • Required User Permissions:

    • To create entries: 'Standard' or 'Admin' level permissions on the project's Daily Log tool.

    • To create pending entries as a collaborator: 'Read Only' or 'Standard' permissions to the project's Daily Log tool with the 'Collaborator Entry Only' granular permission enabled on your permissions template.

Steps

  1. Navigate to the project's Daily Log tool.

  2. Scroll to the Safety Violations section.
    You can also use the left navigation menu to quickly navigate to the Safety Violations section.

  3. To create an entry, add information to the fields.

    Note: Click the caret icon > to expand and v to collapse the field names and their descriptions below.

    Safety Violations - Field Names and Descriptions

    • Company: Select the company name for which you are creating this log entry.

    • Log Date: A read-only field that specifies the date of the daily log entry. This field is visible only when viewing multiple days in the Daily Log tool.

    • Time: Specify the time of safety violation using the hour and minute dropdown menus.

    • Subject: Enter the reason for the safety violation.

    • Safety Notice: Enter the name or number of the safety notice issued.

    • Location: Select the exact project location where the safety violation was observed.

    • Issued To: Enter the name of the person to whom the safety violation was issued.

    • Compliance Due: Select the compliance due date (deadline) for the safety violation.

    • Comments: Enter any comments or additional information that further describes the entry (if required).

    • Attachments: Attach any additional files to the entry. To attach the files, do one of the following:

      • Click Attach File(s) and then drag-and-drop a file from your computer to the Drag and Drop your File(s) area.
        OR

      • Click Upload Files to select a file from your computer.

  4. Click Create.
    The log entry is created or added.
